A Spun Tale

The reasoning for even starting this blog was to tell about the experiences we have or had with our venturing into becoming hobbyist of home aquariums. After writing quite a few posts I have realized not only is this about fish but our life and well most of you could care less about fish, the real interest is us and my winning personality!! 😉(no?….. crickets heard) Ok then ….Soooooo ya…. with that being said I am of course going to still focus on my fishy friends, but I will also be adding in more of us and our life experiences outside of fish. Please feel free to send me messages to let me know your thoughts on this. Yay or Neigh?!

As I sit here at my kitchen table, home alone, sipping my pumpkin cold brew coffee (sooooo stinking yummmmers too FYI) I look out my window and see fall sneaking its way in. Can I just tell you how frigging much in love I am for the Autumn season!!! Like my fav fav fav ever!!! The smell, the colors, the activities, decorations, etc. I absolutely love it all. Also fun fact: Did you know this is mine and Kraigs season? Yup we started pretty much dating around this time. We got engaged in October on a pumpkin patch and we plan on marrying in the fall in a barn. So I also have some sentimental attachment for this season even more now. Awwwww I know, I know. Thank you all!

Oh and side note off subject: Before I forget, I am very much aware that on the last post I mentioned a podcast…..well lets just say it’s in the works lol This adulting thing gets in the way of my lifes goals 😂😂 Also perfection takes time! Am I right?! So quit nagging me, I will get to it Geez.

Can I now get back to fall and fish please? You are making me look like I have A.D.D blogging. (its quite possible I do, but thats besides the point!)

I have to say there isn’t much to report on the fish front. We have a pretty good handle on the algae problem we were having. All my fish loves are doing well. The weather getting cooler is actually helping the tanks too. Things have a harder time growing in the colder water. We haven’t added any new babies because we were waiting for the parameters to be at better levels. I’m pretty sure we could get some newbies very soon. So stay tuned for that post! 😍🐠❤ Something else the cooler weather brings and the fall seaon are the kiddos going back to school. Mine are in the 8th and 2nd grade. The first day was kind of crazy with the buses. Is it just me or is this a problem every year lately? I don’t work for the school department but how does this happen? One would think they do a run through of their stops before school opens. 🤷‍♀️ Idk it just sucks when my kids are involved in the mix ups. Anywho gripe over. The girls both loved their first day. Well Savannah did, who is my 7 year old. Mariah asked to be home schooled lmao She is 13 and loved the distance learning a little too much! It will be interesting to see in a couple of months how they both feel. I’ll keep you posted! You know what else fall brings ….afterschool activites. Wow does my schedule get cray-cray! I feel like once september hits it’s just one long day until june. Anyone else feel like that? Just a big whirlwind of the same day over and over again. From school, work, activities, dinner and trying to get family time in, never mind friends time it’s bananas and so hard. Trying to balance it all is tiring but it’s crazy how we get it done. Strong teamwork is really the key for my family. Kraig and I run children around and do what else needs to be done, TOGETHER. We share responsibility for everything together. I couldn’t ask for a better partner in crime. How do you all do it?

And that’s a wrap, sadly this post isn’t very informational or exciting today. It was kind of more like a PSA lol An update if you will. I wanted to get back to blogging more frequently. So here I am doing my hardest to keep your attention ( oh look squirrel *ahem*clears throat*) and keep it interesting also. How many of you are falling asleep? *raises hand* Um no wait, ha just kidding! Seriuosly, I promise I will come at ya with more fire next post just bare with me here.
